Steve
Steve grew up in The Bronx where he was influenced musically by his older brother who introduced him to the very best music that was being released weekly in the local record store. His closest friend who lived 3 houses away played guitar and it seemed that Steve was at Orlando's house more than he was at his own. Since they were almost inseparable, they would listen to all those new albums and learn the best songs. They would sing harmonies together while Orlando was learning the guitar parts. At night they hung out on the street corners and sang all the great songs with anyone who was there. Orlando seemed to always be in a band and Steve was more interested in being involved with some older guys who were into racing cars. Always hanging with the bands as much as possible helping to setup and take down equipment and ultimately doing some backup vocals on a CBS recording studio session with the band.
In 2011 Steve met Myra on Plenty of Fish, an internet dating site when he searched for a potential meetup with a woman who liked Karaoke. They met and Steve realized that he would have to learn to play an instrument to try to hold a candle to Myra who plays over a dozen instruments. He needed to find an instrument that could be learned while driving. He bought a cheap set of harmonicas. At the time he was driving up to 300 miles a day with a solar electric sales position with a territory from Manhattan to Montauk, NY. While driving on the Long Island Expressway in the HOV lane in his trusty Prius he would turn on the XM Blues channel and try to play along. Over time he got better and better and now has a collection of over 30 harps. You need one for each musical key that can be played by the band. Different brands play differently and some are better than others.
After awhile he realized that he and Myra should start a band utilizing Myra's instrumentation as their "Swiss Army Knife."
